Bert Driver Nursery is located on the leading edge of the nursery capital of the South right here in Middle Tennessee: One mile west of the Smithville city limits at 3400 Nashville Highway (US 70 West) on the former site of the DeKalb Drive-In Theater. We have 7 acres devoted to the care and sales of Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, and Fruit Trees with an emphasis on Japanese Maple and “west coast” material such as laurel, topiary, and unique evergreens.
In 1917, Uncle Kelly Driver traveled through the hills of the Upper Cumberland selling fruit and shade trees from door to door. He provided an invaluable service to the good folks of Tennessee; in fact, that giant oak tree in Grandma’s yard might have come from Uncle Kelly. Today, you can still find quality trees and plants at Bert Driver Nursery – located three miles west of Smithville at the old DeKalb Drive-In Theater.
The James G. “BoBo” Driver Family – providing a service to our community for over 80 years. It is part of heritage and we hope you can visit us real soon.
